“Boy shoes + girly skirt? Not so sure about that.” Was how I felt about before shooting this outfit but I decided to face my fears of looking like a goof, gave it a try and truthfully…I like it! Sure they’re not my typical choice but I’m liking the way these more masculine shoes stop an all white look from getting too girly.

Now I’m not sure how my denim jacket managed to escape every capsule outfit until now but it came to the rescue for this one. Denim jackets are such a great neutralizer. They somehow manage to work with everything and keep outfits from getting too formal or too sloppy or too, well, anything really.

I suppose the moral of this post is that you shouldn’t knock it ’til you’ve tried it. And really you shouldn’t! Unless it’s super bad like racism or heroine but that’s a given. So consider testing out a style combo you wouldn’t normally go for this weekend and just see how it feels. You might surprise yourself!
