I don’t know about you but I always feel like wearing something super soft and cozy on Fridays, especially now that the temps and leaves have dropped. Really, I just want to stay in bed and have my breakfast served to me on a tray but until I win the lottery this outfit is basically the next best thing. I love the unstructured, care-free vibe that this dress and sweater combo gives off. Since I’ll have to leave my house at some point the boots are a great way warm up the look and the lighter tones in the scarf and bag give it some life. It’s perfect for grabbing a fancy coffee and a new mag (my #treatyoself Friday go-to) to flip through between morning emails and to-do list making.
As it turns out this dress, which I originally struggled to style, lends itself really well to more casual looks. I’m loving it with these boots but also with pointy flats and a vintage wrap coat like this. Last time I posted the dress (here) a reader mentioned that she’d probably cut the hanging threads off to make the hem a bit tidier and I think I just might do so. Sometimes you just need a fresh perspective to help with details like that!
Well, you know I like to keep it brief on Fridays (usually because I’m brain dead from a long week) so I’ll do just that. Have a great weekend! Pop back on Sunday for my October Vibes if you’re interested 🙂
MAIN INGREDIENTS
First Rite Cape Sweater via NA NIN (also in grey and loving this new one) | Black Crane Long Quilt Dress (also available in black and a shorter version here) | Rachel Comey Boots (black and grey suede) | Scarf old (similar here and here) | Primecut Bag old (love this one so much)
Thanks Echo! This outfit is seriously cozy! The weekend was great, a perfect blend of productive and rejuvenating. Hope yours was good too! xo
I really loved the sweater/dress combo, they both look great and so comfortable and warm. The look is very casual but still very well put-together, great touch with the scarf!
Hope you had a relaxed weekend 🙂
