SIZING: I’m wearing a Small in both the sweatshirt and polo and a Medium in both the pants and skirt. I could have sized down in all styles but went for a relaxed fit. For reference I’m 5’7″ and my measurements are about 27 in waist, 38 in hip.
PRE ORDER: If your size is sold out, there is a pre-order open for each style in select colours (black, porcelain and hunter green). SWEATSHIRT | PANT | POLO | SKIRT
AVAILABLE SIZES: XS | S | M | L | XL | 2XL | 3 XL | 4XL
Delivery is expected for end of March. Pre-orders basically like a little treat for your future self!
COLOUR WAYS: There are so many stunning colours in this collection. I was immediately drawn to the Hunter Green as I hadn’t seen it elsewhere but if green’s not for you, there are lots of lovely alternatives.
- HUNTER GREEN (shown throughout this post)
- BLUSH (a warm and elegant cream tone)
- TERRA (a rich clay)
- PORCELAIN (a fresh ivory)
- BLACK (for the fundamentalists)
- LIMITED EDITION KINDRED SWEATSHIRT (In three contrasting colour combos, this piece is so brilliant and special!)
*Please note: Black and Porcelain colour ways are very limited stock, however, all colour ways are open for pre-order except for Terra and Blush.

DESIGNED & MADE IN: Vancouver B.C., Canada
EASY TO CARE FOR: Wash with like colours inside out. Do not bleach. Dry flat. Iron low. I have washed and air dried this set (not the polo or skirt) once already and it comes out like new. I didn’t need to iron.
PLANT-BASED FABRIC: 6% botanic Tencel, 28% organic cotton, 6% spandex French Terry. This material is really beautiful and unlike any terry cotton I’ve ever felt. It has a very soft hand feel with lots of stretch and wrinkle resistance.
I also really appreciate that the fabric doesn’t attract much lint or pet hair (compared to other sweatshirts in my closet). I usually have to lint roll all my clothes before shooting if I’ve worn them a bunch but with a good shake up, these are photo-ready.

THE DIALOGUE SWEATSHIRT

This style is such an inventive take on the typical sweatshirt. With classic elements like a crew neckline, dropped shoulder and elastic cuffs it feels casual, yet, the exaggerated balloon sleeves and tie waist brings some drama and excitement to the piece.
The ties offer lots of versatility too. Here are four different ways I’ve worn them:
1 | Looped once for an easy-going vibe. 2 | Both ties knotted together in front. 3 | Wrapped and tied at the back. 4 | Double knotted so the ties hang apart.
Check out this quick styling video to see how each knot is done.

The soft and voluminous sleeves add lots of depth and movement to the shirt as well. With the wide and comfortable elastic cuff you can wear them wherever is most comfortable on the arm or adjust for different silhouettes. Here are three ways I’ve worn them:
1 | Pushed up for an a-line shape. 2 | Mid forearm for some drape. 3 | Loose around the wrist.
NOW FOR THE
EDIT PANTS (shown) OR EDITOR PANT (longer inseam)
USE STYLEBEE10 for 10% OFF, ENTER AT CHECKOUT
The Edit Pants are a contemporary take on sweatpants. I love the straight shape of the leg and the surprise detail of the side slit hem. Inseam pockets are functional but low profile and the fabric wrapped and seamed waist band is very comfortable with no threat of inner elastic twisted, which I loath. Here’s a closer look at those detais:
Could the length be a little longer for me? Yes, I’d love an extra couple of inches, especially in these winter temps. That said, I’ve worn them with a pair of leggings underneath at the cottage and it’s all good! For reference, I’m 5’7 so they’ll fit longer on folks under that height.
{UPDATE} – Taller folks rejoice! Aileen has graciously listened to our feedback on the inseam length and a longer version is now available for pre-order! Check out the Editor Pant for anyone 5’8 and above that would like an extra 3.5 inches on the Edit Pant shown in this post.
For reference I’m 5’7, wearing the Edit Pant and I think the longer inseam would be my preference, however, I haven’t tried them out.
I’m wearing a medium in the Edit Pant, which is quite relaxed on me (I wear a 27 in denim). If you want a slightly slimmer fit in the seat and leg than what you see here, take your normal size according to the size chart.

THE STUDY POLO
USE STYLEBEE10 for 10% OFF
The Study Polo is a new style in the PROSE collection and it’s another really wearable and intriguing piece. I’ve never seen anything quite like it and if you’d have described a collared shirt with short puff sleeves to me, this is not at all what I would have expected.
This top is full of interest and it’s the perfect length to wear:
1 | Fully tucked 2 | Front tucked 3 | Loose

THE DISCOURSE SKIRT

I’m not usually much of a pencil skirt wearing person, but this one is so comfy that I’m making an exception. It has an inner elastic waist which keeps the line at the waist really clean (you can see the better in my styled photos in the next section).
I also love how straight it falls from the hip, right down to a sharp bottom hemline. For a material that so soft and easy to move in this was a delightful surprise. It has a generous cut through the hip for curvier bodies but also drapes beautifully where there may be more room.
A centre back seam and modest slit keep your legs free to move as needed!

Thanks so much for tuning in!
I completely understand that not everyone is in a position to shop my partnerships and I would never expect that. My goal is always to share inspiration first and foremost, with options to shop if a piece really speaks to you. Your readership is means so much and I hope this post offers lots of styling ideas for pieces you already have and highlights details worth considering when you’re ready to add to your closet again.
This is such a helpful post with styling/sizing, and I love the polo and pants! Sorry if I missed it, but what size did you get in the polo?
Hi Molly, No worries! I wear a Small in the Polo. Thanks for checking out the post! xo
Thoughtful and thorough review, as always! I will say that I have the sweatshirt & pant set, and I love the sweatshirt. I want to love the pants, but FYI to taller folks that they fall at a really awkward point on the leg (I’m 5’11). I don’t mind a cropped pant normally, but in these I look like a grownup trying to wear kid pants, or a grownup who shrunk her pants in the dryer. I hope that Vestige might be willing to offer two lengths in the future — for now I unfortunately think I have to donate my pants to a shorter person…
Thanks so much for sharing this feedback Caitlin! I would LOVE to see a longer inseam option too. I even think the split hem would look so cool in a floor grazing length. Aileen is always super receptive to this type of customer input so we’ll cross our fingers and toes 🙂
Hello Caitlin and Lee! This feedback is really so helpful. I am the designer of Vestige, and I am a petite 5’2 myself. Although I have the opposite problem of pants usually being too long for me, I understand how frustrating the search for a good pair of pants can be. Thank you for the insight, and I am heading back to the drawing board to make the Edit Pants more height inclusive!
You’re the best Aileen! xo
These are great! I’m looking for the style directory you had on your site previously, particularly, the jewellery one. I saw a mountain necklace and am interested in it, but now I can’t figure out where it came from! The directory you had seems to have disappeared.
Hi Barb, So sorry about that, the directory section is under construction because it was slowing the site down too much. It will be back and better than ever but I believe the brand you’re looking for is Everli Jewelry. Here is the shop link: https://www.everlijewelry.com/shop
Shuang does some really beautiful work! xo
Thank you! This is it! I have now saved it in my favorites. I look forward to the return of the directory in whatever form, you’ve found so many great Canadian shops. I always like when some one does the work for me!
Ah! That’s great to hear! Looking forward to sharing more when the new directory is up and running 🙂
Adore! What stunning pieces and what brilliant styling. Thank you!
Ah! Thanks so much Mirella, these were such fun pieces to experiment with! xo
