Style Bee - Everlane Linen - 2/3

Well, the week is almost half way over and all our veggies have been planted! I’ll admit I’m not super big on gardening, I’m more of an indoor horticulturist, but it was really nice to get my hands into the dirt and plant some baby greens and seeds. It’s always so crazy to think that something so teeny tiny will eventually grow into a huge mass of edible goodness. We’re just starting to to see some sprouts from the spinach we planted last weekend and it’s so exciting! Hopefully the weather holds up for us and no major frost comes in.

Next up in this Everlane Linen review series we’ve got the Linen V-Neck Tee*. Now, I’ll admit I don’t require much convincing when it comes to Everlane tees. I have, and love, the U-Neck and the Box-Cut already so I knew I was in for a treat with this one. I opted for the charcoal grey v-neck because I didn’t have anything quite like it and it’s a nice alternative to the all black I’ve been wearing lately. See below for the full review…

LINEN JERSEY V-NECK TEE

Sizing: I am usually a size S in Everlane tees and currently wearing the size Small in this one too. It’s a bit oversized and hits at the hips, as is depicted on the model. Sleeves are slightly longer than typical and the shoulder seems fall a bit wide but I like that effect.

Shape: This is one of my favourite t-shirt shapes ever. The v-neck hits at the perfect spot to keep it from being too revealing and I particularly like the sleeves as they’re longer than usual, which makes them feel a bit more formal and ideal for rolling up. I can see this being a great option for people in a casual office environment, with a pair of black pants (I’m eager to try these) and a loose blazer, it’s totally work appropriate. The length is great for wearing half tucked and the lack of breast pocket keeps it sleek and minimal.

Fabric: You really need to feel this linen jersey to appreciate it. I thought it was just going to be your typical soft, gauzy, jersey but it has a significant weight to it, which makes it drape beautifully and feel fabulous. It’s not quite as soft as I thought it would be but I imagine it will soften with wear and washing. It feels more substantial than the cotton tees I have and as though it will hold up well to use over time.

Wrinkle Factor: This is actually one of my most wrinkle-resistant tees to date. Even after being tucked in all day the creases fell out over night.

Washing: I washed it on delicate, hung it to dry and it came out like new.

Price: At $35 USD it’s a bit higher priced than Everlane’s usual tees but I think the quality of the fabric warrants the cost.

I promise I’m not trying to oversell this tee, it’s just a genuinely great staple! Let me know if you have any additional questions about this tee, as I’m always happy to talk details!

*Please note: I was gifted this item by Everlane in exchange for styling and sharing the look in a post however the reviews are authentic and all opinions are my own.

Cute! I got the pocket tee (my favorite) in charcoal gray this spring. Because of your review on this material I’am going to order the dolman sleeve t-shirt dress!
    Have a good weekend Lee!
