Warm spring evenings have a romance about them that just begs to be savoured. Long walks to dinner, wine on patios, mid afternoon ice cream treats are all non negotiable at this time of year. I’ve always been a fall season fan but this year spring is a real contender for the top spot. Long skirts, sheer shirts and the fact that it’s light after 9 pm are each earning spring some major brownie points. The mosquito invasions however, not so much.
A few evenings ago we celebrated my Dad’s birthday with a family dinner at a favourite spot. I’d had this outfit in mind since April so I was excited to take it for a proper spin. I love the retro vibe of a knotted top, a high waisted skirt and cat eye shades. An updated black and nude palette makes this look chic and fresh and the sheer shirt gives it a sultry feel. Needless to say this one will be making many repeat appearances over the next few months.

I don’t know what I’m eyeing more–that skirt, or those shoes. That first photo is so perfect!
Oh girl you always get me! Thanks so much! I definitely owe Dave a romantic dinner for taking such great snaps. Ps. Both would look gorgeous on you! xo
