Sentiments from the Style Bee Newsletter

SENTIMENTS FROM THE STYLE BEE NEWSLETTER

04.19.23

In each Style Bee newsletter I share a sentiment that spoke to me during the week. Sometimes it’s a question that got me thinking, sometimes it’s a thought that stuck with me, sometimes it’s a bit of gentle guidance. I often hear from subscribers that the sentiments have resonated with them as well and I thought it would be worth sharing some from this year so far here on the blog.

Yes, quotes can be a bit eye roll inducing but they can also be comforting, encouraging, thought-provoking and even perspective shifting. When someone’s words meet us where we’re at it can help us feel less isolated.

If any of these sentiments speak to you, I’d love to have you join the newsletter. You’ll find a sign up form at the end of the post.

Love Anne Lamott. So simple but so true and more obvious now than ever with our devices!

    Hello dear,

I first have to say, I am enchanted with your blog. I learn so much from you, and it warms my heart. The quote that immediatley pricked my heart was: “Who Would You (I) Be If I Was Not Afraid?” I want to cry because I would not be who I am now. I am working through this but it is not easy and I am afraid time is running out.

Debbie, Thank you for the kind words and for sharing the thoughts and feelings that came up when considering that question. I’m sorry that you’re feeling out of alignment and definitely understand how difficult that is. Please know you’re not alone at all in feeling this way. It can feel so daunting to want to change a lot overnight but if you simply focus on one small adjustment and commit to doing that tomorrow, you’re already closer to the person you would like to be. It could be as simple as waking up earlier, going for a walk, carving out 10 minutes to start something you want to accomplish, reaching out to a friend or someone to talk to. Sending love and strength your way. xo
