I don’t have any interesting anecdotes to share at the moment so I’ll just share my two cents on this look. Truth is, I had other plans for this pencil skirt but the temperature dropped and then this incredible scarf arrived so I changed direction. It seems we most often see pencil skirts with killer pumps, sharp jackets and silk shirts, which of course is a great outfit, but I decided to try dressing it down to something a bit more utilitarian and casual. I always feel a bit bulky in layers when fall first arrives but the sleek skirt kept my lower half lean while textures had a party up top. Whenever I wear a big pattern (which is rare come to think of it) I try to make sure everything else is simple. I also love how early fall is one of those times when you can somehow get away with bare legs while the rest of you is cozy.
Have you tried switching up any items in your closet lately? Do tell!
