Style Bee - Fall - Look 4

This outfit essentially sums up my favourite Fall/Winter uniform. Skinny jeans, cotton tee, giant sweater, hat and boots. I may not be super original but why fix what isn’t broken right?

Remember when I said this sweater was on my wishlist? Well, as much as I love that one, it’s expensive and while I know the quality of the knit is very good, it’s made in China and I’m pretty sure the mark-up is like 1000%, at least. So I set my sights on finding an option that was made locally, out of fewer artificial fibres and costs less.

And success! I’d been lusting over First Rite’s AW ’15 collection for ages and when I saw this sweater cape in action (via NA NIN) I knew it was the one for me. It’s a beautiful wool and viscose blend and the fabric is light-weight but still quite warm. I love the length and the pockets are in the perfect spot to tuck your hands in if it’s chilly. Plus it lends itself to any style. So glad I found it before the cold office days ahead! Now I’m just scheming to get my paws on the grey version too 😉

    Hi Lee,

This outfit is great!Loving all of our fall pieces, they look great on you. Do you mind me asking what size did you get the Everlane shirt in? How are you liking the fit?

    • Lee the Bee says:

Thanks so much Mary! So glad to hear that! I got the clean edge long sleeve in a size S. It’s an off the body fit but not super huge or baggy. I love the neckline and that the sleeves are nice and long too. The cuffs and hem are a slightly stiff so it falls elegantly. Not ideal for a front tuck but I’m ok with it 🙂

What a great find on the sweater! I can’t believe it’s half the price of the Acne one too, and hopefully not made in China. You’ve have to let us know how it holds up and does in the pilling department. Super cute find!

Thanks Andrea! I was so excited when it appeared on my Instagram feed haha It’s made in California too, which was a major selling point for me. I will be sure to let you know about how it wears, since I have it on pretty much all the time 🙂 Xo

    This is perfection Lee!❤️

I have been on the hunt for a black sweater forever… I keep wanting everlane or Madewell to come out with a good one like this.

So many different ways to wear this look, keep the ones like this coming….
I would love to see this remixed a few different ways (chambray, scarves, striped tee, different shoes) or something since I’am doing a shopping ban.
Anyways I know you’re busy, but even if you just Instagram it I would love to see!

Thanks so much Jodie! I know what you mean. I’ve seen lots of oversize cardigans but this one is long too, which is key. I’ll definitely be styling this one up a few more ways during the my Fall series! It’s seriously one of my favourite pieces….ever!

Good for you for sticking with your shopping fast. Not an easy feat during Fall but I’m sure your bank account with look happier in the end 🙂 xo

Do you recommend a similar sweater for under $100, at least? It literally looks like a dream, but still waaaay out of my budget.
