EVERLANE DAY GLOVE REVIEW

07.20.18

Is it just me or do Fridays roll around even faster in the summer? Well, even if I’m imagining it, I’m glad this one is here! It’s also time for another honest review of an item I’ve added to my closet for the summer. That is the Everlane Day Glove, which has just come back in stock with certain colours available for pre-order. I know there are lots of reviews out there already on this particular product but after the results of Wednesday’s poll (a landslide 96% ‘yes’) it sure seems like you folks might be up for one more. This is great because I’ve wanted to share my thoughts on these shoes for a little while now.

Today I’ll be going over:

  • My initial experience. Spoiler alert, it sucked.
  • A full review of the Everlane Day Glove.
  • How they compare to the iconic Martiniano Glove Shoe, which I’d originally planned to get instead.

So without further adieu let’s talk about this much-hyped, well-loved, ‘shoe of the summer’, shall we?

PS. I purchased the Day Glove myself so there’s no strings attached, just my genuine opinions and experience, which you’ll always get regardless!

INITIAL EXPERIENCE

After seeing all my blogger buds rocking them and reading 100s of rave reviews I was experiencing a bit of (ok a lot of) FOMO and decided to give the Day Glove a try myself. I waffled for days on which colour to get (it was between cream and white) and ultimately decided on the white. I felt that they’d be a great option for my summer travels and perhaps an everyday alternative to a white sneaker (which they are). Plus I think they’re a tri-seasonal option for us here in Ontario, which means they’ll be viable for Spring, Summer and Fall.

So I ordered them before we left on our drive from BC and got home to find them patiently waiting for me. I flung open the parcel in excitement, ripped the tissue out from inside, could not get my feet in fast enough and…they were snug. That’s ok though, they’re supposed to be snug right? Yes, according to the product page and what others had said, so I figured all good, packed them in my bag for Europe and off we flew.

When we had a morning of walking in Amsterdam I thought, ‘What a nice time to wear these delightfully comfy flats!’, and away we went for the day. Well, it wasn’t more than a few blocks before my heels started yarping. I figured, stay strong, they’ll be fine, you’ve broken in much stiffer shoes before. Then a km later there was no ignoring it. I needed band-aids STAT! Luckily those are a staple in my travel bag so I put them on and all was well, or rather, well enough to tough it out.

Flash forward, like, 6 more occasions and the same thing continued happening. They’d stretch out a little more each time but the major hot spot right at the back of my heel continued to be terrorized any time I dared to go without band-aids. I was starting to get a little bummed at this point, knowing there was no returning them and fearing that this might never resolve, when one day I decided to triple up my band-aids and walk to and from my in-laws to see if I couldn’t break them in once and for all.

It was a balmy night, I was walking super fast and lo and behold, that did the trick! The next day I put them on to walk Dobby and they finally fit as advertised, like a glove! Now that my heels are all back to normal and the trauma has subsided they’re actually some of the comfiest flats I’ve ever had. I also feel like I wear them more now because I earned that level of comfort. Through literal blood, sweat and maybe one tear, I made them work out and we have a special bond from all the trials and tribulations. I’m telling you I am a shoe girl to the core!

Anyway, excuse the saga but I could not go into this review without first sharing my harrowing initial experience!

EVERLANE DAY GLOVE REVIEW

So here we have the Everlane Day Glove Shoe in White, all broken in and ready for a summer of cute looks!

1 | FACTS |

  • Prices at $115 USD
  • Available in 6 colours: BLACK, WHITE, ROSE, CREAM + MOCHA (with a few left in Light Blue and more colours on the way)
  • Available sizing: 5, 5.5, 6, 6.5, 7, 7.5, 8, 8.5, 9, 9.5, 10, 10.5, 11
  • Made in Santa Maria a Monte, Italy (see the factory)
  • 100% Italian Leather (with a rubber sole)
  • Treat with protectant. Spot clean with a cloth.

2 | FIT |

  • I ordered a 7 which is my usual size in Everlane footwear (and most footwear). Typically I’m either a 7 or 7.5 in shoes depending on the fit and if I intend to wear socks or not. In these I do not.
  • I have a narrow foot, which could be partly why I experienced heel slippage/rubbing initially.
  • They were quite snug throughout the toe and top of the foot at first but have stretched to fit very comfortably with time.
  • I worried they might be a touch short initially but now that the leather has expanded that’s not an issue.
  • In case you skipped the novel above, they gave me major blisters on my heels at first but everywhere else has been fine. I wore band aids until the leather stretched and softened and now there are no hot spots.
  • The sides fall about 1/2 an inch below the ankle and the top hits about an inch or more from the base of my toes.

3 | MATERIALS + CARE |

  • 100% Italian Leather.
  • The texture is slightly pebbled which gives it a natural feel and makes it extra resistant to stains and easy to wipe off.
  • The leather is very soft but I really think it would take a lot to rip it or break through. See below for wear and tear notes.
  • The rubber sole is extremely flexible and easily bends and moves with your foot. It’s also nice and grippy which makes them great on any surface and for leisurely biking.
  • The white is a true bright white.

4 | DETAILS |

  • Side vents allow some air flow
  • Pull tab, which I’d just as soon omit from the design
  • Reinforcement strip at heel, which killed my heels at first but will be good in the long run for durability.
  • Cushioned insole and back panel
  • The shoe is unlined meaning the soft (suede-like) backside of the pebbled leather is what will be right against your foot. This gives them their ultra low-profile fit.
  • Like all Everlane footwear (that I’ve received) these come with a dust cover which is great for traveling!

5 | SUPPORT |

  • These have a cushioned insole which is a welcome barrier between your foot and the pavement and definitely helps with some shock absorption.
  • However, there is no instep support or considerable padding. If you need that these aren’t for you.
  • That said, I’ve walked dozens of kilometres in these on pavement (and I have lower back issues) and haven’t noticed any negative side-effects.

6 | VALUE | HIGH. These shoes are made beautifully, the leather seems to be excellent quality, the fit is great (now that I’ve broken them in, really drilling that point home I know) and the design is timeless, which means I’ll want to wear them for many seasons to come.

FAVOURITE PART | They go with literally everything. I love how I can wear these shoes with damn near everything in my closet, feel comfortable and still look chic and put together thanks to the bright white and contemporary cut.

LEAST FAVOURITE PART | Other than the break-in trauma, they’re not a breathable as I’d hoped. Yes they have little side vents, which I’m sure help a bit, but my feet still end up slightly sweaty in them after any considerable length of time. Could this be solved with a sock? Maybe, but that takes away from the intended look and fit experience, in my opinion anyway. I also wish the sole was replaceable but it doesn’t appear to be so once the rubber wears down, that’s it.

Overall I’d have to give the Day Glove a 7 out of 10 because while I love them now, I definitely had to be persistent!

WEAR AND TEAR

I was expecting a lot more scuffs, stains, tears etc. on these by this point (especially being white!) but they’ve held up remarkably well considering how much I’ve worn them. I haven’t even bothered to spray them with any protectant yet and they’ve been in the rain more than once too.

The photos above on the left show the toes, which have met a few unfortunate curbs and bumps in the sidewalk but they’re certainly in decent shape considering. Sadly, these can’t be buffed our conditioned out because they’re actual gauges in the leather but it’s less fragile than I’d expected. It would take a major assault to break through this leather.

The top right photo shows that the rubber sole is also holding up well except for the far back edges where I drag my heels slightly. That happens with all my shoes to be fair though. There are also a few smudges on the heel (from who knows what) but those wiped off with a Boot Rescue wipe real easy.

The lower right image above shows how the leather has stretched and melded to my feet and the creases that have formed with use. Of course, I’d love for them to have stayed perfectly smooth but the reality is that with such soft leather a natural shape will evolve with time.

I’ve got to say, these puppies put up a good fight and have not let me down in the resilience department!

COMPARING THE DAY GLOVE WITH THE GLOVE SHOE

Style Bee - Everlane Day Glove Review

It’s no secret that the Everlane Day Glove bears a striking resemblance to the Martiniano Glove Shoe (the best selection is available via Garmentory, save $20 off here). Now, Everlane has been known to, ahem, ‘model’ their styles after select, classic, cult favourite styles by independent designers. You can see my comparison of Everlane’s Wide Leg Crop Pant with Jesse Kamm’s Sailor Pant right here. I don’t know if this is necessarily a ‘knock-off’ situation because there are distinct enough differences but it’s pushing the boundaries for sure.

At the start of this Spring I was honestly ready and willing to invest in the Martiniano Glove Shoe. I’d heard only rave reviews from friends who had them and I’d seen them on almost all my favourite style bloggers. So I waited and waited and saved and waited and went out of my way to try them on before ordering a pair. But I didn’t get them in the end and proceeded to order myself a pair of the Day Gloves instead. ‘But why?’  you may ask, well, let’s unpack that a bit (as my favourite @JVN would say).

EVERLANE DAY GLOVE FACTS:

  • $115 USD
  • Made in Santa Maria a Monte, Italy
  • 100% Italian leather
  • Bright White (+ 5 other colours and more on the way)
  • Available in half sizes
  • Heel height is essentially flat
  • Side vents
  • Runs slim
  • Pull tab and reinforcement strip at heel
  • Cushioned insole and back panel
  • Man-made rubber sole
  • Low cut around the ankle and side with a high top (aka. no toe cleavage)
  • Treat with protectant. Spot clean with a cloth.
  • On the market since Spring 2018

MARTINIANO GLOVE SHOE FACTS:

  • $437 USD
  • Made in Argentina
  • 100% Kid Leather (slightly thinner than the Day Glove leather)
  • Bright White (+ many other colours)
  • Available in half sizes
  • Heel height is .75 in stacked leather
  • No side vents
  • Runs slim
  • Simple design with no added details
  • Leather sole (replaceable)
  • Cut close and straight around the ankle and side with a high top (aka. no toe cleavage)
  • Flat leather insole
  • Treat with protectant. Spot clean with a cloth. These did not seem as though they’d be as resilient to scuffs and stains because the leather is so smooth.
  • On the market since 2011

Overall my decision to pass on the Glove Shoe and test out the Day Glove was partly because of fit, partly because of cost and partly because of curiosity!

There is no denying that the Martiniano Glove Shoe is a really beautiful piece of footwear both in how they’ve been designed and how they’ve been made (despite their lack of husband appeal). The craftsmanship is nothing short of art, the leather is unbelievably soft and they are, in my opinion, slightly more flattering on the foot. Bottom line is that they’re truly iconic and indeed the original glove shoe.

As much as I wanted to love them and be totally smitten, they just weren’t fitting my foot 100% right. The size 7 (37) is probably what I would get but it felt a bit snug in the length and yet the 7.5 (37.5) was loose enough that my heel was slipping out so I knew that would be an issue. There was also some wrinkling at the toe where the leather curves and connects to the sole and I wish that wasn’t the case.

The next detail that got me re-thinking my plans was the sole. It is slippery AF. I almost went down while walking on the carpet in-store. So a no-slip grip would need to be added to the bottom if I planned to wear them without being in constant fear. That’s fine, I’ve done that on other shoes in the past, but it’s a trip to the cobbler and an additional cost.

Then, I considered the price, even if I was willing to wear them in and have a grip added, in Canada they are about $575 CAD. That was essentially my entire Spring style budget and ultimately just didn’t make sense when I was about to embark on a lavish trip to Europe.

Finally, my increasing curiosity about the Day Glove convinced me to test them out. Wear the hell out of them and then, if they were unsatisfactory, plan to invest in the original Glove Shoe at a later date. Maybe I’ll do that yet, but for now I’m happy with my decision!

I know a lot of women LOVE their Martiniano Glove Shoes and I totally get it. I’ve also heard that they wear in brilliantly and only get better with age so I’d love to hear your thoughts if you have a pair!

Hey! Just wondering, you mention that the glove shoe would be your whole spring budget. What is your yearly shopping budget? Just wondering! I’m wondering what other women typically spend.

  2. Stephanie says:

So very interesting! I bought my normal size (6) in the black Day Glove. I slipped them on and had a Cinderella moment – a perfect fit! I always have difficulty with finding shoes that fit and these have been comfortable since day one. Can’t wait to pull them back out once we get out of the 90-100+ degree stretch! So… September. I hope Everlane will offer a true tan soon, but you’ve definitely made me look twice at the white flats.

I would love to see more photos of pieces like the silk Linn and linen Harper to get a better view of how it wears from different angles. I find photos to sometimes be more helpful that a written review. Really miss seeing that in posts – especially in the 10x10s. I also second Natalia’s great requests!

  3. Hannah L says:

I’m curious about ES silk and whether it really holds up to everyday wear; I’m drooling over the Harlow tunic but of course the price is a little intimidating, especially with little ones in my life. Also curious about silk vs linen florence pants. And I second all the comments about items or even uniforms that have held up for the long haul…I’ve been wishing I had a better way to predict which items will be long-term go-tos vs the ones I love for awhile and then just…don’t. Looking forward to the 10×10! 🙂

  4. Veera says:

Nice review! And a lovely shoe. I really like the glove shoe shape, I guess that’s just the times changing… I remember when ballet flats were THE shape for flat shoes.

I totally sympathise with you on the breaking in period, it sucks with certain shoes! My Dr Martens 1641s were terrible to break in and now I hold on to them because I had to “fight” them in order to wear them. I have a narrow heel as well which means I slip out of most shoes when I can’t even wear the size down. 🙁

  5. Collette Cushing says:

Totally agree with the comments above-key to breaking in shoes is to wear them around the house, incrementally, with a thin sock. Within a couple of weeks, they should be good to go. That’s what I had to do to break in my Vyartas, which remind me of the glove shoe. Totally recommend adding Vibram rubber soles atop leather soled shoes. Once the Vibram wears down you can simply replace. Some of my Vibrams have literally lasted 10+ years (i.e. over Gucci loafers). In Maine, there is so much rubble/stones we have to walk over, so these soles are necessary. And, it’s only about $20 at the cobbler!

Yes, would love to read a “where are they now” piece about older items in your closet!

  6. Cynthia says:

Yessss I thought it was just me! I kept seeing rave reviews for the day glove so I had high hopes wearing mine out of the box at a work meeting in Boston… within minutes I had bleeding blisters and the top part of the shoe cut into my foot horribly. Now that I’ve broken them in they’re almost at a 100% but I couldn’t agree more – they’re great shoes once the initial (terrible) break in period is over with!

  7. Natalia says:

This post gave me a good chuckle! As a fellow narrow footer, I feel your pain! My feet are size 10 but super narrow!! I’ve had issues with my feet sliding out and around in my shoes since…. forever! And the heel was always the worst! Those cheap Aldo shoes everybody wore in highschool? I couldn’t wear them! A blessing in disguise, I guess! Then I discovered Fluevog shoes in my early post-university days and was hooked on the comfort of those shoes for a good decade (I purchased many of their more streamlined and simpler looking shoes – read: not the crazy shoes!!). Once you find a brand that works well for your high maintenance feet it’s so hard to try something new! ?
I’d love to read about the pieces you’ve let go of recently. I find a big part of minimizing my closet is learning how to let go of pieces that just aren’t a perfect fit for me. It would be helpful to hear which pieces you thought you’d love and then after wearing them for a bit decided that they actually didn’t work for you specifically (and why).
I also like the idea of reviewing something a second time a few years later to recap on whether you still love that piece and on its durability.
And my last idea/suggestion for a blog post is on “the one that got away”. Is there anything you’ve regretted not buying that you can’t get anymore and just can’t stop dreaming about it?
Thanks again for the post! Always an entertaining read!

  8. Katie Emma says:

I’m having the same issue of heel rubbing with my pair. A strategically placed bandaid on each heel does the trick, but it looks less than classy and I have to make sure to pack extras in my purse. I am going to buy some foot balm, as suggested in the comments above, and soldier on!

I also find that my nail on my big toe is wearing a spot on the inside of the leather. I keep my nails short, but maybe because the shoes fit snugly, there’s just enough friction there to mess up the leather. I’m hoping it won’t actually lead to a hole through the shoe!

    • Lee the Bee says:

Hey Katie Emma, Let me know if the foot balm helps! I found that by really layering up on the band-aid padding one time made a big difference and now I don’t need them at all. Agreed though that they’re not cute haha.

Have you tried wearing them around the house with a thin sock. This might help the toe area stretch out without putting too much stress on the leather. I’ve been known to do that and to heat the leather (gently!) with a hair dryer and then really walk and move in them a lot around the house. Just an idea! Have a great weekend. xo

    • Katie Emma says:

I bought a stick of “Body Glide” at Target and have used it twice and it really makes a difference! I might actually pull an older pair of flats out of my closet that I gave up on and see if it helps with that pair. I will probably pack bandaids if I know I’ll be doing a lot of walking, but an afternoon of window shopping today was no problem!

  9. Lo says:

They look amazing! Maybe something like Gekks would help with sweat? I have used them with slip-on sneakers, and while they’re a bit hard to “install” initially, they stay put really well and limit slippage and stink.

  10. Kerry says:

I bought them in black (and a half size bigger then I normally wear) and they are without question, my most favorite flats. I thought they made my feet a little sweaty too at first, but I bought some soft Dr Scholls insoles made for flats and I don’t have that problem anymore. I wanna buy like, ten more pairs!

  11. Kathleen Murphy says:

Thank you for taking the extra time for the great comparison review. It is really important to consider the differences in the aging process of natural materials, especially leather. Also, your honesty about the slippery slope of knock off is excellent and something I pay attention to all the time. Have a great weekend!

  12. I do some amateur shoemaking and have really wanted to tackle the glove shoe so I’m reading this with great interest. In shoemaking there is always a tradeoff between easy to break in vs. durable. Usually shoemakers make the heel back durable (with something called a heel counter which is very stiff) but breaking in can be painful. My fav product for this is “friction block” or “foot glide.” These are lubricants that help break in without causing blisters.

For the grippy sole I’m shocked they quoted you that much! Cobblers in Chicago charge between $50-$80 for these. I had an $80 Vibram grip sole added to my Sabah shoes recently, which should last years. A cobbler could also add a thin outsole to the Everlane Day Glove to increase durability. When it wears down it can be replaced.

    • Melissa Eubanks says:

Who is your cobbler in Chicago? I am looking for a good one to do some work on my pair of Bryr clogs . . . I definitely want a cobbler I can trust and haven’t found one yet, even after years of searching!

    • Lee the Bee says:

Ah! Melissa, thanks so much for your insights in this area. I can totally appreciate the tradeoff and I do think these will be better in the long-run for the reinforced backing elements. Thanks for the products recommendations!

My cobbler actually quoted about $50 for the grips (the cost was just the shoes along eep!). I hadn’t considered adding an outsole to the rubber sole but that’s genius! I think I’ll take them in for that soon. Have a great weekend!

    • @Melissa I go to Red Star Cobbler but you can also ask for a quote from Alexandra Wills though she mainly does shoemaking. She’s teaching me how to do my own resoling!

      http://alexandriawills.com/

  13. kelli says:

Thanks for this review! It’s so interesting to hear the different experiences with this shoe! I have them in mocha and I popped them on in my usual size and it’s one of the few shoes I’ve ever had that didn’t need to be broken in. I’m starting to wonder if maybe there is a difference in how the different colored leathers fit or wear… I’m glad these worked out for you in the end!

    • Lee the Bee says:

Thanks for your insights Kelli! I’m glad yours worked out right away. I agree, I think the darker colours might be a bit softer as they haven’t been through the same processes as the very light colours. Have a great weekend!

  14. Diana says:

I also purchased the Day Glove in pink / blush and after several wears they still leave a mark on the top of my foot. In fact, the last time I wore them all day long, they left the top of my foot very sore a few days afterwards and a layer of skin was scraped. I am hoping they will settle in soon as I really do love them a lot! Great honest review! (Edmonton, AB)

    • Jacki says:

I tried two different sizes, one in black and one in blush/pink and the smaller size fit the heel, but the larger started to slip. But both were incredibly tight on the top of my foot (which I didn’t hear anyone else mention in reviews). It was actually painful, so with much sadness, I returned them. Had they not come up so high on the top of the foot, I think they would have worked. But for now, I’ll just sit here with Day Glove envy.

    • Lee the Bee says:

Thanks for sharing your experience Diana! Have you tried wearing them around the house with a thin sock. This might help that area stretch out without having to put yourself through any pain. I’ve been known to do that and to heat the leather (gently!) with a hair dryer and then really walk and move in them a lot around the house. Just an idea! Have a great weekend. xo

  15. Alison says:

I had this same experience (TERRIBLE break-in period) for the Nisolo Huaraches in their new sizing this spring. I was seriously angry about the money I’d spent on these shoes… until they were finally broken in! Now they are my most comfortable summer shoe and I wear them probably 3-5 times each week. I’ve even considered ordering a second color! I just could not get over all of the reviews that said they were perfect out of the box. What kind of feet do these people have?!

    • Sally says:

Alison! I am in that break in period now. I feel like I’ve been avoiding them because of that reason. I am normally a 6 in shoes, and a 6.5 in nisolo (with the exception of the Dari boot) and I ordered a 6.5 in the new huaraches. They feel comfortably snug but then my heels get torn up! I think I should probably just do the band-aid thing.. but I’m so glad to see that yours work now! It gives me hope 🙂

    • Lee the Bee says:

Hahaha I know, I was wondering the same when I read all the glowing Day Glove reviews. I’m glad your Huaraches worked out in the end, those are a great classic style for sure! Thanks for reading. Have a great weekend! xo

    • Laura says:

Oh my gosh, this is so my experience! And I still haven’t gotten them totally worn in. Same thing with the Nisolo Emma D’Orsay flats, which it kills me not to be able to wear (yet) because they are SO cute!

Sadly, I’ve fallen into the routine of avoiding both pairs right now… I seriously have thought I’d probably have given up completely on the Huaraches before reading this post. Now I need to pull them back out and work on them more!

  16. Christy says:

Wow! I’m amazed that you persisted through the bloodletting break-in! I just wanted to chime in that I have these in black and have never felt any snug or uncomfortable feeling in the heels. Mine are slightly snug across the top of the foot along the edge of the leather but aren’t uncomfortable, I just have a line on my foot after I take them off. I’ve worn them all day at work about three times now. I wonder if I’m just lucky with the fit, and I also wonder if different colours of leather have different effects—maybe some are thicker or more robust? I’m also in Canada so was really nervous they wouldn’t fit and let me tell you, no way would I have kept wearing after bleeding feet! Love the honesty and thoroughness of your posts! I would love to see some sneak peeks of fall pieces.

    • Lee the Bee says:

Thanks for sharing your experience Christy! Glad yours were great from the start! I think you’re onto something about the colours. Different leather tans will certainly affect the softness/texture of the leather and I’m sure white requires harsher treatments.

Thanks for the suggestion about the Fall pieces. I haven’t shopped for any Fall items yet but I’ll share my wish list soon! Have a great weekend. xo

  17. Abbey says:

Thanks for the review! I’ve been seeing these everywhere, and it’s always so helpful to hear your thoughts.

I’d love a “where are they now” look at some of the “Closet Heroes” from past years–what things have held up and continued to suit your lifestyle? Particularly I’m wondering about that rust-colored First Rite skirt–do you still have that? Actually, in that vein, a comparison of various midi skirts would be great. There seem to be a lot of options out there that are kind of similar, and it’s hard to sort through the differences.

    Thanks!

    • Kat says:

I second the “where are they now” feature! My favorite element of a person’s closet is the pieces they’ve had for YEARS – how do they hold up? How have you styled them differently over time? I feel that the ethical clothing community is super focused on quality and longevity but often we don’t get to hear enough about things that have truly been put through the ringer.

    • Lee the Bee says:

Thanks for the suggestions Abbey + Kat! I love this idea and it’s so true that we don’t see enough of what items are around years later. I’ve got so many so it might need to be a several part series. Also, laughed out loud because I immediately associate ‘Where Are They Now’ with those tragic E-News segments on child stars haha! Have a great weekend ladies!

    • Lee the Bee says:

Thanks for reading Abbey! Sadly, I let that skirt go in a closet sale. I loved it so much but the fabric really didn’t breathe so I never reached for it unless it wasn’t humid, which is rare during our summers here in S. Ontario. Now I only have my Bel Skirt in linen which has been a lifesaver this summer. Have a great weekend! xo

  18. Jodie Thomas says:

    TGIF Lee!

I got these in taupe and after wearing them around the house sent them back because I didn’t like how you could see all my toe outlines through them lol.
However I LOVE how they look on everyone else!
Your white ones are so cute! <3

I’d love to see what’s in your closet now, as a new closet mission. What have you added for summer? That might be nice to see before the summer 10×10 (which I am really excited to do this summer since I am not pregnant).

Also what’s on your radar for fall?
My budget is very tight now so I am trying not to think about it yet. However, I did snag the Nisolo black Chelsea boots $70 off!

    Have a great weekend!

Thanks for sharing your Day Glove feedback Jodie, I can see why that would be a deal breaker. I so appreciate those suggestions and I’ve added them to my ideas list 🙂 I’ll be putting together my Fall Wish List soon too. Have a great weekend as well love!

Great review! Makes me think maybe I should have kept mine and powered through the breaking in…? I bought a pair in 7,5 and I’m normally a 7,5-8 and they were just waaaay to tight. If it had been around the heel I think I might have kept working on it, but it was on the top of my feet where my blood circulation was practically stopped, I literally couldn’t walk while wearing them. Unfortunately when you order internationally it’s a hassle to return them, so my sister ended up getting a nice surprise when she visited this weekend. 🙂

I’d love to hear a review on the bell skirt, I’m considering investing in a silk one but I’m afraid it’s going to be too “fancy” for normal wear…

Thanks for sharing your feedback Arlen! I think if any area of your foot is losing circulation, it’s not worth it. Lucky that your sister could take them off your…feet 🙂

Thanks for the Bel Skirt suggestion too! I did find the silk version was a little too dressy for everyday wear for me, but the linen one is in heavy rotation. Have a great weekend!

Thank you for the review, Lee! I’d be interested in a review of any of your tops, dresses, skirts or jackets/cardigans.

Thanks for reading and for the suggestions Carol! Any items in particular? I’ve got a Fall coat post on the list since I get loads of questions about my lighter jackets/dusters. Have a great weekend!
